Sandi Cottrell & Co. was created
to assist DMCs, incentive houses and corporate planners in a variety
of areas, from marketing planning to special event production. Sandis
ability to mentor and coach hospitality industry professionals in effective
management strategies is a result of 29 years in destination management
in Southern California. She has taught various courses in the field,
and continues to act as a mentor to many of the individuals she has
worked with over the years.
In her fifteen years at PRA Destination Management (1984 to 1999) she
helped the company grow to be one of the largest in the world, as well
as the first DMC to begin franchising. Sandi developed the companys
first dedicated marketing department, and in doing so, began to realize
the special needs DMCs have in the marketing area. In addition
to consulting with DMCs and incentive companies, Sandi Cottrell
& Co. can be your most valuable resource when creating and producing
memorable special events. Sandis ability to create unique concepts
that communicate a corporate message have been recognized by both SITEs
Crystal Awards and Special Event Gala Awards.
She has been actively involved in many industry organizations, including
MPI, HSMAI and ISES. Her passion for the incentive market led her to
SITE (Society of Incentive and Travel Executives) and her active involvement
in the organization includes serving as 1998 President of the Society.
