THERE’S GOOD NEWS...
...for incentive companies. A survey commissioned
by the Incentive Federation and conducted by the Center for Concept
Development found that more corporations are using incentive companies
for their programs than in 2003, the last time that measure was taken.
Twenty-five percent of respondents said they would use an incentive
company as compared to 14% two years ago.
More precisely, those using incentive companies for dealer programs
jumped from 18% to 31% and from 7% to 14% for non-sales programs.
Other interesting statistics are:
- For dealer incentive programs, those who purchase
travel directly from hotels and airlines increased from 16% in 2003
to 21% now.
- Those who plan sales programs made fewer direct
purchases dropping from 31% in 2003 to 27% now; for non-sales programs
it went from 22% to 14%.
- Fewer planners are using corporate travel agencies,
retail travel agents, and advertising / sales promotion agencies for
their programs.
The results are very interesting and can be
